Park and Fly at SLC

The journey through Salt Lake City International Airport begins upon arrival. While not the most exciting part of the trip, finding a convenient, secure parking spot for one’s departure is something travelers expect.
SLC implemented a small fee increase on July 1, 2026, to park at the airport. Parking in the garage increased by $5, and rates increased by $3 for the economy lot.
“There is growing demand for parking at the airport,” said Airport Operations Manager Cary Burnett. “At times, we’ve seen lots fill to capacity during peak travel seasons. The fee increases will help maintain existing facilities as well construct additional facilities to meet this demand.”
Facility improvements are already under way. The economy parking lot is being resurfaced in phases throughout the summer. Plus, new electric vehicle charging stations are being installed at the south end of the economy lot, with completion scheduled for November 2026.

Parking options will also expand. A new employee lot is under construction at the south end of the economy lot with completion on track for late 2029. When completed, the current employee parking lot will be repurposed as an additional Economy Lot.
“We are currently working on a parking master plan that will help ease growth demands for long term parking needs many years into the future,” said Burnett.
