What: Volaris Airlines takes off on June 1 with nonstop service between Salt Lake City International Airport and Guadalajara International Airport. Volaris is an ultra-low-cost airline offering affordable airfares.
“The United States is a key market for Volaris, and this expansion reflects our long-term commitment to connecting more communities on both sides of the border,” said Holger Blankenstein, Volaris Executive Vice President of Airline Commercial and Operations.
When: A ribbon cutting with Volaris and SLC International begins at 3:15 p.m. at
Where: Gate A15. (A mult box will be available for media to access.)
Media check-in begins at 2 p.m. at Volaris ticket counter on the third level of the Terminal on the west end. Be sure to allow time to obtain a gate pass, go through security and arrive at the gate in time for the program.
The airport media lot will be open by 1:30 p.m.
Flight departs at 4:35 p.m. An airport shuttle will leave from the gate after the ribbon cutting for any media interested in taking footage on the airfield of the aircraft departing.
