Hawaiian Airlines Brings Lei and Aloha to Utah with Inaugural SLC-HNL Service

Hawaiian Airlines has officially arrived in Utah, just in time for summer. Hawaiʻi’s hometown airline today inaugurated daily nonstop service between Salt Lake City (SLC) and Honolulu (HNL) with a festive gate-side celebration, welcoming its first guests with fresh orchid lei, passion-orange-guava (POG) juice, cake, and live music and hula by the Hawaiian Airlines Serenaders.

Details Regarding Water Leak at Airport

At approx. 3:30 p.m. today, SLC International Airport Operations became aware of a ground water leak in the tunnel connecting concourses A and B. The area was cordoned off and passengers were directed to walk around the water.

Update: Details Regarding Water Leak at Airport

The Mid-Concourse Tunnel section that was closed due to a water leak opened back up to passenger traffic shortly after 6 p.m. The ground water leak has been temporarily fixed and the airport is determining the cause of the leak to prevent future issues.
