The Salt Lake City Department of Airports (SLCDA) has joined with Kulture City to provide the first sensory inclusive space at the airport to offer a positive experience for all passengers with a sensory issue. On Saturday, December 7, 2024, the Gary Sinise Foundation, and presenting sponsor American Airlines, will bring 1,600 family members of our nation’s fallen heroes – those whose loved ones have lost their lives serving in the United States military – to Orlando for a special trip to Walt Disney World (WDW) Resort. This special event through the Gary Sinise Foundation’s Snowball Express program hopes to help these families create new, happy memories during this difficult time of year. Officials with the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) and Salt Lake City International Airport (SLC) will host a media availability Tuesday, November 19, 2024, at SLC to provide Thanksgiving travel tips, provide travel volume projections and demonstrate state-of-the-art security technologies people will encounter when departing SLC.
