Delta expands Salt Lake City presence with state-of-the-art Cargo Facility

Delta Air Lines, in partnership with the Utah Inland Port Authority and Salt Lake City, will be investing up to $18 million to develop a state-of-the-art air cargo hub at Salt Lake City International Airport, the airline’s key Mountain West hub. The new Delta Cargo facility, which will undergo a full renovation and modernization after having previously been occupied by the United States Postal Service, will replace Delta’s current air cargo home at SLC and will significantly improve cargo operations.

SLC International Airport Opens More Gates and More Concessions

The Salt Lake City Department of Airports held a ribbon cutting this morning to mark the opening of 10 new gates and six additional concessions as part of The New SLC Redevelopment Program. The new gates will house arrivals and departures for Delta Air Lines and Southwest Airlines.

SLC Department of Airports to Unveil More Gates and More Concessions

The Salt Lake City International Airport is planning a ribbon cutting to celebrate the opening of 10 additional gates, six more concessions and new lounges as part of The New SLC Redevelopment Program. Phase 1 of The New SLC opened in September 2020, followed by the opening of Phase 2 in October in 2023, and Phase 3 in October 2024. The final phase of 11 gates and six concessions will open in October 2026.
