Salt Lake City International Airport (SLC) offers ground transportation options for all types of passengers. Traditional ground transportation, limousines, hotel shuttles, and transportation network companies (TNCs) service the airport.
SLC has maximum rates for ground transportation providers servicing City-bound customers. The fare limits apply to transportation from the airport to destinations within Salt Lake City boundaries and are determined by two geographical zones (click here for a map of the zones).
- Zone 1: Maximum rate from Airport to within 500 East is $25
- Zone 2: Maximum rate from Airport outside of 500 East is $30
- Maximum $5 per person additional charge with over two passengers
- Fares outside of Salt Lake City are not regulated
- Fares should be negotiated prior to departing the Airport
Transportation network companies, such as Uber and Lyft, are regulated by Utah State law and are not subject to the maximum fare requirement.

Lyft and Uber are legally operating in Salt Lake City and at the airport. Designated pick up areas for TNCs are indicated by curbside signs, and are located in the middle traffic lanes outside of baggage claim in Terminals 1 and 2.
