Biking to SLC
Salt Lake City International Airport is accessible by bike. This 2.8 mile trail provides bicycle/pedestrian connection along the south side of the airport from North Temple at 2500 West to the Terminal. If you plan to bike to the airport, access to the terminal is available by continuing north along 3700 West, a road that mostly serves local commercial traffic.
The trail is open to the public:
February – October: 5:30 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.
November – January: 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
During off hours and periods of increased security threat levels, the south perimeter path pedestrian gates may be locked at all times, requiring all individuals who wish to use the path to apply for an airport access badge. Badges cost $15 each and take three to five business days to process.
To apply for year-round access, fill out a badge application form and contact Salt Lake City Airport Badging Office by e-mail at badgingoffice@slcgov.com or by phone at 801-575-2423.
