Jonathan Freedman
Jonathan Freedman is president and CEO of World Trade Center Utah, where he helps Utah companies grow and compete internationally. He brings a founder's mindset and a global perspective to the role, building bridges between business, government and diplomacy to expand exports, attract investment and deepen international ties.
A longtime entrepreneur, Jonathan co-founded Downeast in 1991 and helped grow it into a successful clothing and furniture brand across the Intermountain West. He has served as Honorary Consul of Ukraine in Utah since 2007 and was awarded the Order of Merit by President Volodymyr Zelenskyy in 2023.
In addition to the SLC Airport Advisory Board, Jonathan is a member of the U.S. Trade Representative's Intergovernmental Policy Advisory Committee and serves on the boards of the Utah District Export Council and Utah Inland Port Authority. He also supports Utah's arts community through service on several cultural and fine arts boards.
