Update: Details Regarding Water Leak at Airport
The Mid-Concourse Tunnel section that was closed due to a water leak opened back up to passenger traffic shortly after 6 p.m. The ground water leak has been temporarily fixed and the airport is determining the cause of the leak to prevent future issues.

Details Regarding Water Leak at Airport
At approx. 3:30 p.m. today, SLC International Airport Operations became aware of a ground water leak in the tunnel connecting concourses A and B. The area was cordoned off and passengers were directed to walk around the water.

Frontier Airlines Announces Nonstop Service from Salt Lake City International Airport to Dallas-Fort Worth, San Francisco, and Ontario, Calif.
Ultra-low fare carrier Frontier Airlines will begin nonstop service from Salt Lake City International Airport (SLC) to Dallas-Fort Worth (DFW), San Francisco (SFO), and Ontario, Calif. (ONT) in April of 2024.

Statement from SLC Department of Airports Regarding Airport Incident
At 9:54 p.m. on Monday, January 1, a 30 year-old male breached an airport security door at SLC International Airport (SLCPD) and accessed the airfield. The individual ran to the south end of the airport’s west runway where deicing operations were underway and crawled into an aircraft engine that was not running. The plane was enroute from SLC to SFO.
