Parking at SLC

Airport Parking Reservations

Salt Lake City International Airport has installed a Parking Guidance System (PGS) in the Parking Garage to assist passengers in locating a parking space. The PGS indicates where parking spaces are available on each level of the garage. Color lights define the type of parking available:

Green – general parking available
Blue – handicapped parking available
Yellow – Electric vehicle parking available
Red – Parking not available

In addition, PGS can help locate a lost car. To use this function, download the PARK ASSIST mobile app (Apple Store or Google Play). Search for Salt Lake City International Airport in the app and enter the car’s license plate number to find the vehicle location.

Choose convenience and reliability by parking on-site at Salt Lake City International Airport (SLC). Whether you choose the hourly/daily parking garage or our economy lot, we offer the closest parking lots to the airport terminal.

EV Charging Stations

SLC is doing its part to clear the air and has installed 78 electric vehicle (EV) charging ports for public and employee use, which accommodates 156 parking spaces.

The EV charging stations are dual port, Level 2 with standard connectors to accommodate all models of electric vehicles. Each port supplies up to 7.2 kilowatts of power. The charging stations include an instruction video that shows users how to operate the station—including phone support available 24 hours, 7 days a week. A mobile application is also available for EV owners to download in order to locate an available airport charging station.

The airport stations open to the public are located in the economy parking lot (28 dual ports), Parking Lot E North (5 dual ports), Parking Lot E South (5 dual ports), and each level of the parking garage (28 dual ports). In addition, the Touch n’ Go Convenience Store that opened in December 2017 has one EV charging station.

Access to all electric vehicle charging stations is on a first come basis and cannot be reserved in advance. There is currently no charge to use the stations. Rocky Mountain Power is covering 50 percent of the project costs.

The airport encourages drivers to follow EV etiquette and safety practices when using the charging stations.

Fuel Efficient Vehicle Parking

As part of the Airport’s LEED certification, 126 Fuel Efficient Vehicle parking spaces are also included in the parking garage and are located adjacent to the EVCSs. Vehicles must have a green score of 40 or more to qualify as a Fuel Efficient Vehicle. The list of vehicles that meet the standard can be found by clicking this link: https://greenercars.org/greenercars-ratings.
