  • How early should I arrive at the airport before my flight
    It is recommended that you arrive 90 minutes prior to departure for check-in and security screening. Two hours for international flights. Allow more time during peak travel periods and inclimate weather.
  • Is a parent allowed to accompany a child traveling alone through screening to their gate?
    Please contact your airline to make arrangements to escort your child to board their flight.
  • Is there a limit on the number of carry-on bags?
    You are allowed one carry-on plus a personal item such as a purse or briefcase. Your carry-on must meet the size requirements of the airlines.
  • Where can I get a list of items that cannot be taken in my carry-on luggage or through security screening?
    Visit the Transportation Security Administration's (TSA) website at www.tsa.gov.
  • May I take my electronic devices such as laptop, cell phone, pager through screening?
    These items can go through screening. However, please be prepared to turn them on and operate them for the security screening personnel.
  • Where can I find a map of the airport terminal buildings?
    Maps are located throughout the airport and on the website at www.slcairport.com.

  • Is there a place to store luggage in the airport?
    No, baggage cannot be stored in the airport or held for you by the airlines.
  • Do you have wheelchairs or cart service available in the airport?
    Wheelchairs or cart service for passengers requiring assistance is available. Please make arrangements through your airline.
  • Are there food options prior to security screening?
    "On the Fly," an urban market, is in the lobby of both terminals. There are also high quality vending machines.
  • Are there gift shops in the airport that sell flowers?
    "On the Fly" in each terminal lobby carries fresh flowers.
  • Is there a business center?
    Regus Express, a full-service business center, is located in Terminal Two, adjacent to the Delta Crown Room. It is on the connector between Concourses C and D.
  • Where can I smoke?
    Smoking rooms are available on each concourse close to gate A6, at the end of Concourse B, near gates C8, D1 and on Concourse E.
  • How late is the airport open?
    The airport is open 24 hours per day. However, most flight service ends around midnight and resumes about 5:00 am.
  • What are the parking rates?
    Parking rates are posted on the Maps & Rates page or call 801-575-2886.
  • Where can I meet a passenger?
    You may meet a passenger directly outside of screening or in the bag claim area. For your convenience, the airport offers 30 minutes of free parking in the short-term parking structure. There is also a free Park & Wait lot at the entrance of the airport. International passengers exit customs in the International Terminal adjacent to Terminal Two.
  • Is there passenger loading and unloading at the terminal curb?
    There is passenger loading and unloading. However, there is no parking or waiting at the  curb. If you arrive and your passenger is not ready for pickup, you will need to proceed to  the return loop and come around again. Also, there is a Park & Wait lot at the south end of  the return loop where you can park for free while waiting. You must remain with your vehicle. There is a flight information monitor that displays flight information.
  • What is the cost for a cab from the airport to downtown?
    Depending on the exact location, the approximate cost is $20.00.
  • Is there shuttle service from the airport to downtown?
    Many of the hotels have shuttle service to and from the airport. There are also public transportation buses between the airport and downtown.
  • Do you have shuttle service from the long-term parking lot?
    We do offer courtesy shuttle service between the long-term parking lot and the terminal buildings.
  • Is there a hotel at the airport?
    There is not a hotel on airport property. However, there are many hotels nearby in downtown Salt Lake City and west of the airport.
  • Can I obtain information regarding employment at the airport?
    Employment information can be viewed on our Jobs & Opportunities page or on Salt Lake City Corporation's website at www.slcgov.com.
  • Who do I contact for security screening jobs at the airport?
    Visit the Transportation Security Administration's (TSA) website at www.tsa.gov or call 1-877-631-5627.
